After graduating
from The University of West Georgia in 1985, the Atlanta native
began her
career in broadcasting as the Director of Marketing at Y106 radio
in Atlanta. After several years and a promotion to Account Executive,
in 1991 Kim married morning radio announcer Mike Stiles and moved
to Austin Texas, where she implemented a New Business Development
Program for radio account executives and was quickly promoted
to Sales Manager.
In order to
be closer to home, in 1993 Kim and Mike relocated to Raleigh, North
Carolina, where Kim started her first business, Kim Stiles
Marketing and Promotions. As a consultant, she successfully
developed and conducted planning and team-building meetings, as
well as coached individuals. After relocating back to Atlanta in
1995, Kim wrote her first book, The Stiles System to
capitalize on her valuable information. After a successful run,
the planner was picked up by a publisher, giving Kim more time to
devote to speaking and team-building. She also began to write a
bi-weekly column for a popular magazine and a series of promotion
books, Blueprint for Promotional Success, still sold
today.
The quick success
in the radio industry proved that anything is possible. Kim found
a great love and appreciation for the self-help and business industry
that guided and motivated her to plan and turn her dreams into a
reality. After having her first child, Kim wanted to use these same
methods to design her lifeonce again, but they were
no longer applicable. Believing that she could accomplish anything
she set her mind to , Kim applied all her knowledge from the 100+
books, seminars, and interviews from thousands of moms to develop
dynamic workshops designed specifically for moms.
Kim
is currently working on her fourth book, Moms Who Need More.
She has two beautiful children, Brad (11), and Maddie (8), and lives
in Atlanta. In addition to motivating moms, Kim is very tied in
to the inventors association. She's been a finalist in many contests
with her toys Behavior Buddy and The Little Joker."
